Historical and natural itineraries in the territory of Castel Madama
The Aniene river, the acquaeducts and their changing landscape

Two exhibitions will be inaugurated at Castel Madama: Thomas Ashby’s photographs of the Acquaeducti Anienses and the results of the first international workshop “Designing the archaeological landscape”, held in 2008 at Castel Madama (RM, Italy). The workshop is a planned action of the Local Agenda 21 of the Provincia di Roma, with the participation of students from the School of Architecture (University of Miami) and the Faculty of Architecture “Valle Giulia” (Sapienza University).
The exhibitions will be open until May 7th, at Castello Orsini, saturday and sunday, 10.30- 12.30 and 17.00- 19.00, or by appointment tel. ++39 0774 4500226. Other events are scheduled such as a visit to the Acqueaducts and the river Aniene with Zaccaria Mari (Soprintendenza Archeologica Lazio) and a conference on the Aniene River, organized by the Comune of Castel Madama.
